Lindsborg, Ks
There are plenty of reasons to visit Lindsborg, Ks. like dala horses decorating the streets, the swedish food, and maybe to have a wedding. More specifically, to have your wedding, because the J.O. Sundrstrom Conference Center is a great venue to do that.
This is the side of the event center. It has a great history in the town, starting out as a department store in 1879 owned by two Swedish immigrants and was successful until the 1920s. After a slow descend into disrepair, the city of Lindsborg bought the property in 2003 and after discussing the needs of the community, renovated it and turned it into an event space.
This is the first room as you enter the building, called the Club Room. It can accommodate about 40 quests and can be rented for any event, like a bridal shower, birthday party, or anniversary party.
This is the Banquet Hall on the first floor. It has a full catering kitchen, a bar, a sound system, and a dance floor. The lighting can be dimmed to create the perfect ambiance for your special day. This space can accommodate approximately 150 guests with the dance floor, and approximately 200 without the dance floor. To the right is the entrance to the full service kitchen. You can have purchase catering through the venue, who has partnered with businesses around town, or have your own caterer, as long as they are licensed.
This is the bar at the back of the Banquet Hall. It is a full service bar and all alcohol needs to be purchased through the venue.
Need a bigger space? Upstairs is the Dansstalle. It can accommodate approximately 250 guests with a dance floor and 330 guests without. It does not have the sound system as downstairs and it only has a prep kitchen but it does have a bar, plenty of windows for natural lighting, lots of room for creativity. There are 2 additional rooms on the second floor that can be rented with the Danstalle, or alone, but would be ideal for getting ready in on your wedding day. Bathrooms are also available on both floors.
This is the front of building from across the street. As always, keep in mind that these photos are to show you the space before it is decorated, so that you can see what you are working with and to be able to imagine what it could be with your own ideas. I am not in any way a photographer, my 2 year old has taken better pictures than me completely by accident. So if you like what you see here, you'll be blown away by the photos on their website (decorated and photographed by someone who knows what they're doing) and if you don't particularly like what you see, I would still take a look at their website, because these venues are always better than what I show.
