Pleasanton, Ks
About an hour from Kansas City and approximately 15 minutes from Fort Scott, is a wedding venue on a hill showcasing the beautiful scenery of Kansas. The venue is a modern chic building that can be decorated to fit any wedding style, has a large indoor and outdoor space that can be used for the ceremony and/or reception, dancing, and whatever else you need. As a plus, the manager of the venue is very responsive, helpful, and knowledgable about ALL things wedding.
The outdoor ceremony site is a gorgeous space that is full of greenery in the spring and summer, but even in the winter (now) is beautiful. The bench seating is permanent and while this area is lovely without adding anything to it, it can also be decorated to fit any style you want.
The front of the venue. You can drive up to the front doors, has a gravel parking lot, and a circle drive for easy access. The whole venue is handicap accessible.
This is the side of building looking from the front of the ceremony space. There is a patio area with bistro lights that is perfect for cocktail hour, and the large glass are 3 doors that open up to the reception/indoor offering lots of natural lighting inside.
The indoor space (they were setting up for a photoshoot). This space can accommodate 220 guests comfortably, and in the winter, in front of the glass, will make a gorgeous ceremony area. The groom and bridal suite are also here, however with the styled shoot, they were being used, and I was unable to get photos, but believe me, they are both spacious, beautiful, and functional.
The other side of the indoor space. The floor is smooth and ideal for dancing. They also have a projector for photos/videos and a nice speaker system for a Dj or you if you bring your own music. There is also a stone fireplace along the right wall.
The bar area, large and spacious with sink and ice machine. The prep kitchen is in the door just behind the bar. which allows for a lot of storage for your caterer, or your own food if you decide to bring it yourself.
The ceremony space as the sun is setting, golden hour is definitely a great time to take couple photos here.
Inside the venue, with the glass doors open at sunset. the venue has a very talented florist, and a list of vendors should you need help finding someone. As always, I am not good at taking photos, but a photographer could do wonders with this place, and they have.
